FAQs

Get to know us - we’re so glad to meet you. If you need more information, let us know

  • We aim to grow and organise support for The Labour Party, its leadership and its policies in the corporate communications and public affairs sectors. We hope to provide a social environment for like-minded people to meet and discuss political issues; share perspectives; raise concerns; consult on ideas and serve as a platform to publish writing. We are also a resource for the Labour Party and Labour’s Shadow Ministers, if they want it.

  • We arrange topical events for members and provide a forum to debate ideas, publish writing and share expertise.

  • We don’t have a Leader or Chair. Nabhan Malik and Pete Turay, our Co-Founders, coordinate the work of the network and manage the decision making process on the Leadership Team.

  • We’re not open for applications at the moment — watch our vacancies page.

  • We’re offering 1-1 mentoring advice and skills training to people from minority and disadvantaged communities looking to pursue a career in politics, communications and government relations. We’re also offering pro bono communications advice to people from these communities looking to stand for any public office — whether as a Parish councillor or a Member of Parliament. We believe in a fair shot and a fair share for these next generation leaders. We also believe that when minority and disadvantaged communities succeed, we all succeed.

  • We’re mapping Labour in Communication’s 1500+ membership with CLPs and equipping volunteers with the skills they need to help shape local party communication strategies.

We’re enabling local CLPs to access experts in communications to help shape local campaigns, leveraging expertise across all aspects of communications such as broadcast, social and digital, message testing, graphic design and media relations.

We’re deploying expert volunteers to local CLPs, starting with the most marginal, offering 1-1 tactical advice to help elect local Councillors, Mayors, and Prospective Parliamentary Candidates.

  • Our membership includes over 2000 professionals working in corporate communications, media and public affairs sectors in the UK.

  • No — no fees whatsoever.
