A note from Nabhan

Members,

Three years ago, Pete and I started Labour in Communications to provide a friendly networking environment to the many Labour supporters working in the communications industry.

Since then, we have built a community of over 4000 members. Labour in Communications, as many other independent professional networks like us, has supported in offering fresh perspective, volunteering capacity, organising power, and a helping hand for one purpose: to help Labour win elections.

2024 will be a crucial year for Labour. While we want Labour in Communications to remain an informal forum for members to socialise and network, we are now leaning in further and faster to leverage the energy, ideas, and talent of volunteers in our industry to help Labour win elections.

As such, we want to recruit a dedicated Network Lead who can offer fresh energy and perspectives to drive the network forward, delivering against our core activities of:

  • Convening and networking

  • Mentoring and training

  • Campaigning

As part of this transition, I will be stepping back as Network Lead, with the new person in place in January 2024 alongside a refreshed leadership team. You can apply for the open positions here.

I have made some of the best friends of my life at Labour in Communications, and I thank you all for the many years of being able to work alongside you, and I look forward to seeing you all soon.
